Remember From Whence You Came

Jessica Meyer, violist/composer
Trudy Chan, pianist

Performing favorite moments from seminal works by Clarke, Brahms, and Bach to honor her trajectory from being solely a violist to a sought-after performer and composer. The centerpiece of the program will include works she has written for viola and piano and viola alone without the loop pedal she usually performs with as a soloist – including a brand new work titled “Crazy” for singing violist. The program ends with Hindemith’s gorgeous and powerful Sonata Op. 11 # 4 in its entirety as a tribute to the many violist/composers who have established themselves as innovative and creative forces.
